Hussein Habasch gets the Kathak International Literary Award
This year, the Kathak Poetry Initiative in Bangladesh has decided to present the Kathak International Literary Award to the Kurdish poet Hussein Habasch and other poets, for his “Outstanding contribution to the world literature, along with a few other very important poets in the world, as stated in the award citation”. The poet was awarded this award at the World Thinkers and Writers for Peace Forum 2024 in Kolkata, India. It is worth noting that in the past years, this award was awarded to poets Tobias and Jona Burghardt from Germany, Dr. Lee Kuei-shien from Taiwan, poet Bengt Berg from Sweden, poet Milan Richter from Slovakia, Dr. Ahmad Kamal Abdullah from Malaysia, poet Agnes Meadows from UK, Dr. Joyce Ashuntangtang from Cameroon…
